Touch Rugby.

Today was our last touch lesson with our tutor Trevor.

We learnt a lot about touch rugby like in general play you have to get back five meters but if it's a penalty it's 10. There are no Markers, and when you get touched your not supposed to roll the ball you step over it.

Touch lessons with Trevor were really good it was a good experience as well, we learnt things that we didn't know about touch and I think if are thinking about playing touch for a club go ahead I reckon it'll be fun.Screenshot 2015-11-26 at 12.13.16 PM.png

England Beat Kiwis

The New Zealand rugby league team was unable to follow in the All Blacks foot steps in England this past Monday morning when they played England. They had a good start to the game with Tahu Harris and Sam Moa scoring a try each, but they then let a ten point lead slip in and get beaten 26- 12.(Go The Kiwis)

Hayne Cut By 49ers

Jarryd Hayne, former NRL player now playing for the San Francisco 49ers has been dropped from the team, for a more experienced running back Kendall Gaskins. All though being cut from the team, Hayne's NFL dreams are still alive as the Detroit Lions are thinking of signing a former Australian Paramata Eels fullback.

French bulldog takes on bears!

There were two bears wandering through the property of a little French bulldog and they got more than they were looking for. So I guest that proves that no matter how small and tiny you are you can always stand up for your self and protect your territory.

League Tournament.

On Saturday morning at 11:00AM I was at Henderson for a league tournament, the team I was playing for was Tonga. When our first game started we played against the Southern Maori team, and  I was so nervous but I knew I just needed to put my nerves to the side and play hard. Around the 4TH and 7TH minute of the game I scored tries for my team and at the end of that game i was named the player of the match.

Shake Out Drill.

This morning at 9:15 the bell rang three times for a shake out drill which is a earthquake drill. When the bell rang every class had to get under their desk and wait for about three minutes. The all clear bell rang so that meant we could get up and continue our work. Miss Brough asked us over the speaker if we were all ok.

Jupiter

Jupiter is the fifth planet from the sun, it is the first of four giant planets, it is made of gas and eleven times wider than earth. Clouds around Jupiter are orange and white, when wind blows the clouds they get blown into one direction.

Jupiter has a massive storm that swirls around like a hurricane on earth. Astronomers gave the storm a name which is called The Great Red Spot, and there are also two moons around it called Ganymede and Callisto.

Looking Forward To Culture Groups.

This term is going to be busy and there are  lots of things to look forward to like touch rugby, poetry recital, athletics and the N.Z SHAKE OUT. But the one thing i'm looking forward  to for this last term of the year is culture groups because you get to do it with your friends. You also get to represent your country.

Japan has experienced its biggest anti-war protests in over 50 years as politicians set about changing the country’s stance on fighting overseas.
The Japanese parliament has passed a law that allows the country’s armed forces to fight overseas for the first time since the end of World War II, but only under certain conditions.
It has been given the name of “collective self defence” the law change allows actual combat under certain conditions.
Outside parliament, protestors came together in a last effort to stop the law being passed. Tens of thousands of protestors have been fighting the huge change in military policy for some time.
More than 200 hours were spent deliberating the law change, with 148 lawmakers voting in support and 90 against.
It has been given the name “collective self defence” which allows actual combat under three conditions:
  • when Japan is attacked, or when a close ally is attacked, and the result threatens Japan’s survival and is a clear danger to people
  • when there is no other appropriate way to stop the attack and ensure Japan’s survival and protect its people
  • use of force is restricted to a minimum

Rugby World Cup.

This term room 11 started on the Rugby World Cup for our inquiry. We got to pick our groups and in the group I was in there was Sophie, Tyla, Anavea, and Quros. We all had fun doing this topic because it helped us work as a team.
